Adrian Carvalho
Adrian Carvalho Jr. – Soccer Coach and Youth Development Advocate
Adrian Carvalho Jr. is a dedicated soccer coach and youth development advocate from Acushnet, Massachusetts. With a lifelong passion for the sport, Adrian began his soccer journey at the age of six as a goalkeeper. His early experiences in local leagues, coupled with mentorship from coach Carlos Valente, ignited his commitment to the game and its community impact .
Beyond his playing career, Adrian has significantly contributed to soccer coaching in the region. As a former New England Revolutionary GK Coach and he is currently serving as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at UMass Dartmouth, where he applies his expertise to enhance player development . Additionally, he is actively involved as the GK Director for RI Surf and supporting the growth of youth soccer in the Southcoast communities.
Adrian’s coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of goalkeeper training, an area often overlooked in traditional coaching. Through his initiative, Top Level Goalkeeping, he provides specialized training to athletes of all ages, focusing on the critical role of goalkeepers in the game .
With a deep-rooted passion for soccer and a commitment to youth development, Adrian Carvalho Jr. continues to inspire and shape the future of soccer in the Southcoast and beyond.
